by Hello From Greece

40,000 book titles host this year’s 41st Thessaloniki Book Festival (2022) which, like every year, is inaugurated in Thessaloniki’s beach with the entrance located just after the White Tower, and the white pavilions continue along the whole length of Thermaikos Bay, winding in front of The Royal Theatre, the statue of Alexander the Great right up to the statue of Konstantinos Karamanlis in the New Beach.

The 41st Thessaloniki Book Festival, which this year is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor disaster, welcomes the public until July 10. At the stalls you can find all kinds of books; literary, historical, scientific, comics, in Greek and in other languages, for both children and adults, which the more than 200 participating publishers have provided for the festival.

The organizing Organization of Northern Greece Publishers, sponsored by the Greek Artists’ Cultural Organization, will hold a jubilee concert on July 6 at 9 pm as a tribute to Asia Minor, entitled “Bow to the Past”. It will be held in the arena next to the statue of Alexander the Great.

On weekdays at 19:00-23:00, visitors have the opportunity to get to know the Greek book industry, both older and new books, while also having the opportunity to meet their favorite authors at the various stalls, where they will sign their books every day.
